Tonight we went out on the river with Jen & Nick to grab dinner at Tumbleweed. We had so much fun cruising around and letting the kids take in all of the sights. :) I have enjoyed going on the river and seeing all of the cool houses, the boats & barges, and just the city from an angle you never get to see. I still don't think you could pay me to swim in the river even if I was sweating to death!! Everyone does it but I'm perfectly fine checking things out from the nice, clean boat. Hee hee. Thanks Jen & Nick for letting us tag along! We had so much fun. :)

Last Tee Ball game
Today was Braden's last Teeball game of the season. They went undefeated! So did all of the other 3 year old teams....they don't really keep score in case you were wondering. :) Ha! I'll have to say, I'm pretty proud of my big 3 year old! It was SO hot the last few games and he still played hard (well as hard as they play at this age) and had a smile on his face. I wouldn't say we mastered hitting the ball very well, but he defintely knew how to run the bases with a big cheese on his face and field the balls pretty well. He also had some pretty quick feet when it was time to get snack at the end of each game. :) Today they got their medals. I loved watching him check it out hanging from his neck. As soon as he got home, he went in his room and hung it from his little baseball hook-love it! Next up....fall soccer...that should be equally as cute. I want to always remember Braden's cute smile as he rounded first base. He LOVED the cheers and hearing his name-too sweet. :) Love you my little ball player!!

Gymboree
Today I took Ethan to a gymboree play & music class. When you deliver at Baptist East you get 4 free sessions so I was kind of waiting on summer to use mine. I signed up for the 6-10 month class and just took Ethan so we could have our time together. :) Braden and I got to do these when he was little so I wanted Ethan to get his time too. It was really cute and he had a good time until about midway through...then he got upset about trying to crawl for a toy and just kind of stayed a little sensitive on each new activity. Poor baby...I think he was a little sleepy because he crashed the second he got in his carseat. He looked like SUCH a big boy in this class!!! He is bigger than the other babies no doubt, but he's also really started putting on the chunk! I love the chunky babies!!! :)
This is when he got sad...the instructor was trying to get him to crawl up the incline and I was shaking the toy at the top...he was like "come on mom, just give me the thing!"

Father's Day
We had a fun filled Father's Day on Sunday. :) Braden (ok all of us) have been waiting to see Toy Story 3 so it seemed like the perfect day to go. Braden wanted to wear his Buzz costume so we let him...anytime you can get more use out of these costumes is a plus to me! Of course he got lots of attention and a lot of little hands touching "his buttons. " :) I didn't know how Ethan would do but brought him a bottle and puffs to snack on and he did great!!! He was awake the whole movie and never fussed!! Knock on wood, but he is one easy baby!! After the movie we all took big fat naps (my favorite part of course) and then headed out to dinner with Chris' dad to none other than, Puerto Vallarata. We eat there about once a week because it's Chris' favorite so that's what he picked for his big day. :) Braden & Ethan don't realize yet how lucky they are to have such a fun, loving daddy but they will one day. :) Chris and I are also so blessed to have the best dads and step-dads we could ask for!! We sure are a blessed family!!

Lake Monroe
When Chris drove up for the wedding he brought the boat so we got to take it out on Lake Monroe Sunday while still in town. My mom, dad, niece, and Cassidy all got to come so it was great for me to get that time to visit with everyone at the same time.
My dad tubing. I was afraid Chris was going to kill him! Dad had to be "cool" though and tell Chris to go faster while I yelled, "Chris, slow down!" Dad, I'm sure you're still sore from this one! :)
Braden had a blast dunking Dad in the lake. They swam forever!

Melissa's Wedding
This past weekend was Melissa's wedding and I had the honor of being one of her bridesmaid's. Melissa has been a friend since middle school and she was in my wedding. She lives in California now so I don't get to see her very often. This weekend also meant I got to go home for the entire weekend and have sort of a kid free weekend and Chris played Mr. Mom back at home. He then drove up Saturday with the boys and came to the wedding and the boys stayed at my brother and Heidi's house. I had a blast! It was great getting to hang out with my old highschool friends. Congratulations Melissa & Brandon!!!

Random tidbits
It's crazy how much height difference there is between the boys...I'm predicting in a few years this won't be the case. :)
Braden likes to wear his goggles in the tub. Ha!
Ethan's 9 month picture. It is getting harder to get him not to grab the bear! On another note, Ethan turning 9 months also brought a nasty double ear infection. Since Braden's never had one, I am totally new to this. This poor baby, he's had 5 days of amoxicillin, 3 days of omnicef, and now 3 shots of rotoseph (sp) and one ear is still infected!! It looks like he could be heading down the tubes road but I hope not. Through all of this, he has been as happy as he can be! I didn't even know his ears were bothering him. He is such a trooper!

A perfect day on the water
Today's weather was perfect! Sunny and warm but not so hot you had to be in the water all the time. This worked out perfectly since I am still a little snaked out from last weekend!!!! We tied up with Nick & Jen again and they brought the Vaughns so we had double the fun! Thanks girls for a great day!
Look at all of those sweet faces peeking over the edge...love it!
All of the kids playing on the island
Braden thinks he is big stuff now and just climbs on everything and jumps in the water in between...he's getting just a tad too brave for me. :)

Ethan's first icecream
I forgot to post this the other night because I took these pics on my little camera. Ethan had his first icecream at Chillers last week. The only sherbet they had was key lime and he loved it. Of course he made a face after the first bite like he does trying pretty much anything new, but then wanted more and more and more! He ended up eating almost his whole icecream and then Braden finished it off for him (of course). I see many nights at Chillers for us this summer!
