Thunder over Louisville

We had a fabulous time at thunder this year! One of my preschool parents gave us free tickets to thunderblast which let us get in the science center and the bat factory! We also had bouncers and tons of kids' activities to do all day long and a perfect spot for viewing the fireworks! It really was a perfect day!

The Big 4 Bridge

Today was one of those days that I just love!!! The weather was beautiful and we had the whole day wide open. :)  Chris was gone all day helping his friend at their lake house so we just played all day. We yard saled all morning since it was our neighborhood and the one next to us, and then headed over to walk the new Louisville walking bridge (for you out of towners..it stretches from Louisville across the river to Indiana and it's just for walkers, runners and bikers).

The kids loved being so high up and seeing the river. Braden loved passing the dog walkers the whole time (and wanted to pet every dog!! This poor boy needs a dog). We followed up with ice cream, playground time, naps at home for all and more outdoor time.  Love love love these days!!!

Lego Fest

Two years ago on spring break I wont tickets to Lego Fest in Cincinnati.  Braden LOVED it!! So when they decided to come to Louisville this weekend, I knew we had to go again. Ethan is actually into Legos now too so it was something both boys would enjoy. :)  We picked up Braden from school Friday and headed over. They had no idea where we were going and Braden kept asking for clues.  I told them to look at the shirts they were wearing that day....both Lego shirts and then he got it! So fun!  I love little surprises so I'm always wanting to do the same for the kids.  Braden thought we were going to Holiday World! ha!  A tad cold for that one...

Our first stop was Ninjago...both of their favorites!  Or "jago" as Ethan calls it. :)
Get ready for picture overload with the characters. Ethan wanted his picture with everyone...and he always had to "pose." Not sure what his poses are....tough guy? Cool guy?  No clue but every picture I take now is some kind of silly boy! :)
Braden inspected every little nook of these creations in the glass boxes all over. I mean he really studied them.
The newest Lego series is "chima." Don't ask me what that is, but they got a free Lego Chima set after going through this section. Bonus!!!

This area they could build Lego heros...Ethan just played with everyone else's creations. :)
Seriously!  What is this kid doing? :)  Love it!
Nice work buddy!

This was Chris' favorite....this whole mural was made with the same size tiny lego squares...just different colors. AMAZING!
Lego pile galore!!!!
Chris buried Braden
Braden ran into a couple classmates so they buried each other
Reading time-Ethan just really got into reading lately where he takes the time to look and study every page.

Easter festivities

Easter is pretty much like Christmas around here.   My kids sure are spoiled blessed! :)  The first basket came on Saturday night when Papa T and Mimi stopped by. The kids got money, books and new underwear which is their favorite! ha!

Then after bed, our Easter bunny....oh me :) got our baskets together. They got a new summer outfit, a little lego set, a sticker book and bubble wand.
Ethan was about half asleep when he came out of his room and saw his...he wasn't quite sure what was going on. Poor Braden had been up for an hour and I made him wait on his brother.  He literally sat by his basket waiting....mean  mommy!

Digging in

Ethan's first official lego set.  Of course his big brother was more than happy to help put it together for him.
Then it was rush rush rush, get dressed and ready and out the door for church by 8:30.  My cutie patooties!  Where did the time go?!?! They are SOOO big. tear :(
After church it was off to Chris' aunt Carma's house for their annual Easter lunch and fun. Granny and Carma always put on a big hunt and the eggs have money and candy! Oh and they got another basket of goodies..that's number 3 if you're counting. :)

After that, we ended at Gma Cindy and Pop's for more yummy food, more baskets and another fabulous egg hunt complete with candy, money oh and the golden eggs which turned into presents. These kids I tell ya....they are making out like bandits. :)

Serious cuteness! Chris' brother's baby Stella was looking way too cute in her Easter outfit! Braden is looking pretty "Risky Business" with his new shades
The  hunt was on...Braden not only wore his new glasses but his new flip flops. ha!
Cute family!!!
*Thank you SO much to all of our family for such a fun Easter day!  You fed us and spoiled our children and we are very thankful!
