A catch all post

This post is a little of this and a little of that.  I am having a hard time keeping up with the blog these days, so this is a post with all the old random pictures on my phone from the last month. :) First up...I went on a fabulous girls' trip to Nashville.  Love my friends!!

Chris and I were given last minute tickets to an IU game!  Of course we said yes and were on our way.  So fun!!

I walked in the room and saw this. Ethan, wearing my scarf and playing the Ipad. ha!!

Chris got a deer on opening day! He was very excited and we were a little excited at home! Not necessarily to eat it (yuck) but because he didn't have to go out 20 times. hee hee!
The boys love having movie night with popcorn :)  It's the only time we can have food in the living room if we lay on our blankets.  Mean mommy :)

One Sunday morning on our way out to church and it was pouring. They love when it rains so they can wear their cool jackets with capes!

The parents got invited to worship with the preschoolers on this specific day. Ethan showed us all the moves to the songs-so cute!

We did a last minute picture session at portrait innovations.  Not usually my pick of places but it was $12 for a huge package and I loved the picture!! Score!!

I try to pop in and meet Braden for lunch here and there when I can. On this day, little Ray asked if he could sit with us. Braden looks like he could be 2 years older than him. ha!

We went to Grant Line's holidy festival and Braden and I won the cookie walk on the first walk of the night. Can you believe pie kitchen was a choice!!!  Yummy!!

We had picture day for basketball. Ethan was quite proud of his uniform.

Braden had a first grade field trip to the Science Center and I took off work to go with him. I'm so glad I work at job that is flexible and I can do things like this!  I love being a part of his school stuff and enjoyed seeing him with his little friends.

We went to Lights under Louisville again this year. The kids love it!  Braden's buddy Walker came with us and spent the night. The boys had fun!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Little picture fun :)

After Christmas pictures we stopped by Lapping Park for a little picture fun. :) Blessed with some handsome fellas for sure! :)

Report card time!

Braden had an excellent first report card for first grade.  All perfect academic and behavior marks!  He did get a little mark down in handwriting so we'll have to work on that one at home. :)  His teacher said he was "brilliant" in math and so good at mental math. Chris beemed on that one!  We celebrated with the free donuts at Krispy Kreme last night.

Braden's Halloween party

Last week we had Braden's Halloween party at school. I'm the room mom this year so planned out the stations and food with help from a lot of good mommies!

And since this is for school I added this...Braden had to make a sock monster for school.  He's been sleeping with it at night. ha!

IU Game

Last weekend our friends gave us tickets to the IU football game.  Chris and I had not been to a game since before the kids and the kids had never been.  :)  Between the snacks, the cheerleaders, band and fun on the jumbotran, the boys had a blast!

We met up with my friend Melissa and her hubs at the game too!

Braden kept working hard to get on the jumbotran. ha!  Apparently I was on there at one point blabbing to Chris....always talking! ha!

Halloween

Finally catching up with Halloween....The Trasks came over and trick or treated with us and the kids had a blast!  It was so nice this year not needing a wagon or stroller and having big kids.  Although it's sad that I don't have a baby anymore, it is nice when they're a little more independent.

We also went to the Trasks for their Halloween party and Chris and I threw together some costumes. I was a cowgirl or country girl or whatever and Chris wore his camouflage...and the changed into the Grinch. I always tease that Chris has to have two costumes each year. ha!
