After seeing this adorable Little People Nativity Scene on Tina's blog, I just had to get it! It was one of those "necessary" purchases I believe. :) I told Chris I'd wait until Christmas to give it to Braden...of course hoping he would disagree (I really thought he needed it out before Christmas, right?) He thought Braden needed it now too, so we tore into it! It kind of looks like Christmas morning in these pictures with Braden's hair and the full diaper! He had just got up from his nap and kept saying, "open" so I didn't have time to spruce him up for the pictures-ha! The nativity scene is pretty cute and Braden is trying to be gentle with Baby Jesus...as gentle as a 22 month old boy can be. :) At least we can't break this Baby Jesus.
Today Braden and I stopped by Granny's (Chris' grandma) house for a little playtime. Braden LOVES going to Granny's. She always has fun toys and we always see lots of "airpwanes" go over her house. Braden had fun being tickled by the leaves when Granny would toss them on his head and he had even more fun with her return address stickers! Cousin Colton enjoyed the labels too. I'm pretty sure we are now well aware of Granny's address. :)
So as you can see, I have been playing around with my blog. This blogging business can get quite addictive. I spend at least an hour a night just reading people's blogs!!! Is this healthy? Besides a little eye strain and carpal tunnel, I think I'll survive. :)
This is Braden's version of singing the ABC's. At one point he even covers his ear because his mom's singing is so bad! :) I love how he tries so hard to sing along.
Such a big boy, just cruising around the neighborhood on his own...well he did have the neighbor kiddos to follow and they were pretty good leaders!
"Not sure about this guy"...I can't believe Braden actually went up to this guy!
Can you believe someone in our neighborhood was actually making funnel cakes for their treat! We felt like we had hit the jackpot with this house!!!
Back home, Braden kept the trick or treaters entertained with his awesome dance moves. We had Monster Mash, Thriller, and other songs playing that of course are only cool on Halloween night. :)
* Now we can officially retire the Lion costume. Boy did we sure get our use out of it this year! It was a fun Halloween season...I wonder how many entries I'll have for Christmas! Brace yourself. :)
On Thursdays we have been going to Sellersburg Library for their Tot-time class. It's really great because they have a story, songs, an activity, and a craft...plus it's all free! You can't beat that. This Thursday was our Halloween day so the kiddos wore their costumes and passed out candy. It's so funny to see Braden in this class because the first picture is pretty much what he looks like the whole time! I don't know if he's in shock or trying to figure it all out or what, but he just kind of stares during the songs. I'm hoping he'll spice things up in the next couple of weeks because at home and everywhere else, he certainly is not this kid. :)
