Rough River

Boating, swimming and lots of eating...that's what our weekend consisted of! We headed to Rough River Friday where we had a house rented right on the lake. The Vaughn's and Thomas' came too and The Johensen's even joined us for one day. The weather was hot, hot, hot so we took full advantage of being in the water. The kids swam, tubed and even knee boarded and a few of us did some skiing. I cannot believe how good all of the kids were! These guys were troopers for boating all day with no naps. Thanks everyone for such a fun weekend and awesome memories for our kids. :)

Nick went with him because he's probably the only guy who could drag behind the board getting beat up and hang on. :) After awhile he let go and Braden went for quite awhile by himself. This child has no fear in the water but I have to say, his mommy got a little nervous when he flipped off and was in the water by himself with only his little pea head sticking up. ahhh! It was fine though and he instantly wanted to go again.

Braden is obsessed with Jackson..literally. If Jackson jumps Braden jumps, if Jackson kneeboards, well then by golly Braden has to...now if only I could get Jackson to eat some veggies in front of Braden, hmmmmmm, it just might work!

Braden jumping off the front of Nick's boat. This kid is crazy. We anchored near people jumping off cliffs and he wanted to do that too. Chris was going to let him but then Mean Momma bear stepped in-sorry buddy, you are 4 and I'm just not ready to chance you get some major boo-boos. :)

We met some new friends that had a floating trampoline. The kids loved this!

Ethan was such a good baby boy considering he takes a 3 hour nap everday and he wasn't getting it. He did pass out on the boat a few times. Love the arms and legs

Last night was the big fireworks show on the lake. We had such a perfect view for the show right from our house! So thankful for that because the lake was packed with boats and we got to have kids in pjs and put them right to bed after...perfect. :) This was our pre-fireworks show preschool style. Sparklers of course!

Christy tubed with Braden and Jackson and Nick went soooooo fast. They loved it and couldn't get enough! This was one moment when they could actually take their hands off...otherwise they were gripping for dear life. ha!

Poor Ethan...he was so good but by today he was exhausted!! The kids starting dropping like flies (see Addi in the background) so we made today a shorter day.
