Getting stronger

Little Ethan is starting to get so strong when he is sitting. I seriously cannot believe how fast they change and grow!! Here are a few pictures from this week of my little sweetie pie. Chris brought up the laundry last night from the basement and carried a little extra in it for me. :) Tonight we got out the bumbo seat just to try it and the little squirt can actually sit in it pretty good. He liked being able to look at everything. I still can't get enough of that sideways smile. :)

Lazy Sunday

Today was one of those great days where we didn't have to be anywhere and we could just piddle around the house. Chris actually put our Christmas lights on the house since it was warm and he usually hangs them in the freezing cold. Don't worry, we are not turning them on yet, but we are ready! :) We also had our own little balloon show right in the backyard. There must be a popular launching spot near our house because it seems like we constantly have balloons above us. It makes for a nice little show. The boys wore their Colts gear today to get ready for the big game tonight. As you can see Braden's cheese involves showing every tooth he has and almost closing his eyes. When I say, "Braden don't smile so big" then he raises up his eyes and looks like a bigger goober. Oh well, at least he let Ethan sit with him and didn't let go and almost drop him which usually happens during my photo sessions. Hee hee

9 weeks

Somebody is getting bigger and cuter by the minute!! I'm taking the monthly pictures beside the bear like I did with Braden. Ethan had his 2 month check up this past week and weighed 10 lbs. 9 ounces which is only in the 25th percentile....very strange for a kid of mine. :) He was 24 inches long though which put him in the 90th percentile. The Dr. said he's doing great and he will probably start packing on the weight and move up in the percentiles by the next appointment. For now my little cutie pie is long and lean. :)

80's Party

Last night Chris and I went to a 40th surprise birthday party for Paul Hamilton that was 80's themed. It was SO much fun! I just went to Goodwill and got a couple of things for my outfit. I attempted the flashdance look with the big sweatshirt and leg warmers and then of course used a side ponytail and some blue eyeshadow. Ha! Chris ended up digging out his actual little league baseball outfit from the 80's-true vintage! :) Yes, it still fit him! He also wore his dukes of hazard watch and drank out of his dukes of hazard thermos from when he was a kid. I wonder what other things he has saved back in our storage....???? The party was a blast and even had a few people doing the worm...surely I wasn't one of those!?!?!!

Russ and Amy-loving Russ' hair!

Julie's costume was by far the truest 80's. She actually won the contest along with another couple. Check out those jeans!!! She found them at the peddler's mall for $1.00. I couldn't quit staring at them all night long. She looked so good!

Trick or Treating

I'm finally making the true Halloween, trick or treating post. I think we definitely got our use out of the costumes this year! Bring on the next holiday. :)

My little monkeys ready to go out and get some treats

One cute little gorilla ready for some treats....well not quite, but he stayed nice and warm in his little costume.

The family shot

I think this is our third year trick or treating with the neighbors. Braden always looks part of their family. :)

The whole gang...we even had Papa T and Mimi trick or treat with us

After we walked around Braden and Daddy passed out candy and Braden enjoyed MANY treats of his own.

Pumpkin Party

Today we went over to Sarah's house for a Pumpkin Party before trick or treating. Braden had a blast with Tyler and some other little cuties. The kiddos got to make a picture frame, decorate their pumpkins with stickers, and even decorate cookies. Can you guess which part Braden enjoyed the most? Yep, the cookie part because he got to lick straight icing without even getting much on his cookie. :) It was a very cute party and we had a ton of fun. Thanks Sarah for having us over!!

Visit from home

Last night my Mom, Bob, and nephew came down to spend the night with us. Braden had a blast playing with Dylan and was completely exhausted by bedtime. Dylan may just have to come stay with us more often! :) We made homemade pizzas and the boys helped roll out the dough.

Gma Trish and Papa Bob enjoyed getting smiles from Ethan

Pumpkin Carving

On Thursday we carved our pumpkin. Braden did not want to touch the pumpkin's insides last year so we were curious if he would be into it this year. That would be a big NO! He liked watching and would use his scoop occasionally, but it was pretty much Chris doing the whole pumpkin again. :) We baked our seeds and he loved those...no surprise there since they were coated with cinnamon and sugar.

Yummy seeds!

Cutie Patootie

Ethan is smiling all of the time now and I just can't get enough! It is too sweet. He looks like he's laughing with his whole body even though their is no sound coming out. :) I can't believe how fast they change.

Halloween Party

Tonight we went to Chris' mom's house for their neighborhood Halloween party. It was the cutest little event! There were 7 stops during the party each at a different house. We had a pizza stop, picture stop, a pumpkin egg hunt, pumpkin painting, a game stop, a bouncer and treats stop, an outdoor movie, and finally a "spooky" walk to the shelter house for treat bags. It was a really cute event and Braden enjoyed all of the stops, especially the ones that involved getting candy. Thanks Gma Cindy and Pop for inviting us!

All of the kids in the neighborhood

Using lots of colors on his pumpkin

Hanging out at the game stop. Gma Cindy kept Ethan snuggled and warm

The spooky walk. Braden loved his flashlight.

Ooooohhhh, spooky

Trick or treating at Silver Creek

We sure are having some Halloween fun this year! On Friday night we went to Silver Creek High School for their "free" trick or treating event. I say free because I'm pretty sure everyone from the entire New Albany area was there due to the "free" part in the advertisement. It was one crowded place but they gave out some major candy. There were 75 stops throughout the school to fill your candy bucket. Braden had a good time and ran into several friends while there.

Waiting in line to begin...Braden and Tyler shared some love

Ethan waited patiently

Braden shared some more love with a few characters

"trick or treat....thank you" I made Braden say this at every stop. He was loving me!

The neighbors were there too...Braden really thinks he's part of their family. I think he pretty much is-hee hee

One last hug before heading home...ahhhhh
