Huber's Farm

Since it was SO beautiful today and finally cooler, it made me think we needed to venture up to Huber's. I always think of Hubers in the fall and just love going! We know we'll go back soon for our annual pumpkin picking so we just used today to do the petting zoo part. Braden was SO excited over every animal and was really cute to watch! Ethan giggled and wrinkled his nose up enjoying every animal unless they got a little too close. Then he was a bit timid and pulled his arms back...I don't blame him! Those goats seemed starved just so you can buy and feed them corn and they are literally almost jumping over the fence into your arms. Ha!

We had a blast on the slide. Braden probably rode down 15 times and he even let me ride with him a couple of times...I thought it was pretty fun myself!

Ethan had a few turns too. :)

The trikes were fun...Braden had a few spills but got right up and said, "I'm ok!" Just in case the world was wondering. :)

Braden wasn't timid feeding the animals at all.

This one gave Ethan the giggles.

ahhh, sweet baby face!

Our attempt with both boys-ha!

Knee surgery

Today Chris had knee surgery due to some torn cartelidge and bone chips. He's been able to walk and go about day to day things but has struggled to run, bike, or do anything that requires you to squat or things like that. The surgery went fine and he's walking around pretty good tonight. I had to take a picture of this though because I was cracking up that they literally write "yes and no" on his knees. Does a Dr. with 10 plus years of college education/ med school etc...really need the yes/no to operate on the correct knee? Well I guess I'm glad they make it clear since you hear of so many surgeries happening on the wrong side, but really? How do you like that shave job on his leg too? Ha!

In the buff

Last night I let Ethan be free and naked for a bit before his bath. It must really stink to never get any air in that area due to a diaper 24/7. Ha! He didn't seem to notice anything was different and went on his way playing cars. :) I coudn't resist some cute tush pics!

Big stuff!

Ethan is becoming a maniac on all of our ride on toys. He can go forward and backward and really just walks straddling the bike to go fast. He has already toppled over the top a few times on the 3 wheelers going a bit too fast. Thankfully he was always in the grass. He is just big stuff. :)

Soccer Game #2

This morning we had another action packed game of soccer! :) The kids were SOOOOO much better than last week. They actually were trying to kick the ball and score goals this week. Ha! Braden did well and even scored a couple of goals. Of course he gets more excited to act silly with Tyler and likes to put his hands on everyone. Sheesh! At one point Tyler was trying to score a goal and Braden was literally holding Tyler's shirt making it hard for him to go. My child! What can I say, he likes to be close to others. Hee hee!

Ethan sitting so nicely. :) This game started during Ethan's morning nap-he was one tired ltitle guy.

Check out the crowd! This was just for our peeps!! Jace, Carson, Tyler & Braden. There was a lot of cheering going on for a 3 year old team-I love it!
A little hug for brother during the "30 second time-out."

A little action shot

Tyler & Braden-they are hopping up and down and making some silly noise...this was during the game. ha!

Ethan's Party

Tonight was Ethan's 1st birthday party. It was a perfect amount of messy cake, fun family and friends, and sweet Ethan just looking cute. :) Thank you SOOOOO much to everyone that made it! I know it gets super crowded in our basement and even hot at times but it is such a blessing to have our loved ones with us so thank you for coming and helping out so much!!

Enjoying a yummy hotdog, mac & cheese and a bun

Ethan's cake

The big cake

Party goers-My mom and I took a bazillion pictures and I didn't think I should include Ethan's pic with everyone but I will definitely print those to keep in his keepsake book.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you...."

Still singing to him-such a serious look

Digging in-I get so excited for this moment at every baby's birthday-will they dive in, just finger poke, cry, what? I love it! Ethan just casually dug in like it was something he did everyday. :)

Digging in a bit more

Messy baby-Braden kept saying, "Ethan's making a big mess!"

OH Yeah!! Get it all big guy before mommy takes it away!

Presents! Of course I did most of the opening but he did stay for the most part

Another attempted family shot :)

Sweet Granny Faye and Ethan

Today was Papa T's birthday so we had a little treat and candle for him too.

Digging into his loot
* Happy birthday sweet baby boy!!! Mommy is absolutely exhausted but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love you bunches!!!!!!

Braden's First Soccer Game

One word to describe today's first soccer game-HILARIOUS!!! I knew it would be mass chaos but I had no idea the kids would be SOOO confused! I figured they would just run everywhere but in reality, most of the time they just stood still and looked confused. Every parent would be yelling, "Get the ball" and the kids would just look at us like, "I can't...someone else has it right now." I think we spend so much time saying not to take toys from others and now we're saying go steal the ball from someone else, that they just don't get it. Braden would occasionally get a kick in and then if someone else came in and kicked it (no matter which team it was) he started crying!! Ha!! Crack me up! I guess they will get better with each game and start catching on. Good job Buddy for your first game. I know snacks are still your favorite part of youth sports but hopefully one day that will change. :)

Hangin' with Papa T before the game

This is during the warm up...the smile faded during the real game-ha!

Ethan the big supporter event sporting his own soccer shirt

"GO TEAM!"

Running off the field when someone else got the ball :)

Post game poses...Carson, Tyler & Braden-cute boys!

Birthday night

Since Ethan's party wasn't until today, we thought we should do something on his actual birthday. We were going to go to Hubers but it was raining so we went to Chuckie Cheese instead. Ethan loved any ride with a wheel and actually got very upset when you took him off. He would have been just as happy to stay in one car the whole time turning the wheel with no token needed. :) Hee hee

Just not sure about this one....

Standing up for this ride so he can really get the wheel going

Yum, yum...first pizza! He ate 1 1/2 pieces!

Not sure if it was the horse itself or his brother squeezing him too much, but this ride was not fun!
* I took a ton more of course, but there is more birthday blogging to do. :)

Happy Birthday Sweet Ethan!

Friday was Ethan's 1st birthday!! It's just crazy to me that he is already one! It really does go by way too fast!

Ethan, you are such a sweet and spunky baby and your personality is really starting to come out! You crack us up daily with your grunts at anything interesting and your "Whoooooas" and things you like. :) You are sweet, sweet, sweet and we could just eat you up! You are crawling everywhere, pulling up on everything, and really wanting to take off to play with your brother. You are saying, "dog, up, Dadda (of course), and my personal favorite "whoa." I love watching you learn new things each day. As a matter of fact, just tonight you learned how to go forward on your cars when before you only went backwards. You thought that was pretty cool!! You love your toys but probably love Braden's more! :) You are obsessed with the remote controls and love to point them at the t..v. and wait for it to come on. You get super excited when you see a dog and I'm sure you'll want one some day just like Braden does. You love to eat snacks especially crackers...well anything in the carb category really. :) You love to play with your brother but are learning that he can be too rough with you and you're starting to swat him away now-ha! You are too cute especially with your two front teeth that are spread so far apart that I'm pretty sure your bottom two teeth fit neatly between the top when you clinch down. :) You are something else buddy and we love you so much!!! I could write about you all day but we have pictures to get to!! Happy birthday my sweet baby!!!

Waking up birthday morning

Daddy made you pancakes and you ate a whole one yourself!

We had playgroup planned in the morning so Braden helped make you special cookies to take for your playgroup buddies.

We got you dressed in your special shirt Sarah made you! A big "E" and a "1" just for your special day!! Here's how big you are with your last monthly picture (tear).

At playgroup-Sarah posing with you since she made your special shirt

You love Allie!!!

You LOVED your first cookie!!! You kicked and kicked your feet with each bite.
