Piano lessons

Braden started piano lessons last week.  This is something Chris has always said he wanted the kids to do.  Of course he'd love for them to be musical so piano is a good place for them to start.  So every other Monday, Braden gets to go to Scribner after school and take piano while Chris tutors.  So far he's really enjoying it. He can already play two songs.  Ethan is enjoying the practicing too. :)

Braden's last basketball game

Today was Braden's last basketball game of the season. It's been a bit of a rough season for us just because Braden hasn't exactly loved it and he seemed so behind in skills compared to his teammates...therefore never touched the ball (literally!). :(  It was kind of sad on a mommy's heart to watch really because no one would ever pass him the ball and he really wasn't aggressive enough to get a rebound so he just kind of ran back and forth.

However today being the last game...Chris put the bribery on and told him if he could get two rebounds he could keep his Redbox Wii game for another day. ha!!  Well can you believe that's all it took?!?!!?  This child played his heart out even diving for a ball. I was very proud of how hard he played and he was proud of himself!  After the game he said, "I liked that and think I want to play more now."  Poor buddy just needed a chance to touch the ball and get in there to enjoy it. Next time we'll start the bribery earlier!  Parenting at its best!!
Ethan loves playing ball behind he bleachers. :)
This is so blurry but Walker, Braden's little buddy was guarding him. They were cracking up trying to defend each other. :)

Way to get in there Buddy!  Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!!  You always did your best and had a good attitude. :)

Valentine's Day

Chris and I spent Valentine's Day with our little love bugs. :)  We started the morning with heart shaped pancakes.  Love seeing Ethan in his little boxers with his pancake. ha!  We had to flip our pancakes in the air and let the boys catch them on their plate...this is because of the famous pancake flipper they met at Grant Line earlier this year. :)

Then for dinner we got a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphys. Yummy :)
The boys got Valentine cards and $ in the mail from grandparents which they love!! Then they got a few little things from us. Ethan is ready for boating now with his new glasses.
Braden was cracking me up pretending that his candy filled container was really a cane! You know...with the hook at the top like a candy cane. ha!
Chris got a bag of Reece cup hearts.  The boys were happy!  For me...the boys made me sweet little cards and Chris left little sweet notes on post its all over the house, in my car and purse, and places I might look like the silverware drawer.  Very sweet and thoughtful. He also recorded the song he wrote for me when we first met with the band and sent it to me.  It sounded like a real song!  What a great day with my loves!

Braden's Valentines Party

I love going into Braden's class for his parties.  They are always over the top cute!!  The Valentine theme was "Love bug" so everything was bug related. Super cute!

Mr. Ethan

Ethan is such big stuff these days!  He is absolutely the funny one in the family and I love what he comes up with. :)  Here are pictures from his Valentine's party at preschool and going to the dentist last week (which he LOVED!).

At 2, Ethan wasn't a big fan of getting his teeth cleaned but this time he loved it!  He was cracking jokes with all the dental hygienists and being funny boy!  Braden on the other hand isn't a big fan...he still whines a bit in the chair which was comical since he followed his 3 year old brother. ha!  They sure have different personalities. :)

Going through his Valentine's from school. :)

Couples weekend

Several months ago a handful of us girls bought a Groupon for a hotel in Indianapolis.  We thought it'd be fun to have a little getaway this winter.  Last weekend was  it!  We started in Edinburgh with a little shopping and then headed up to Indy for yummy food and fun!

Super bowl Sunday! We always have 49ers and any California clohthes really in our closets because my family lives there. :)

Valentine's

This year the boys and I decided to make our own Valentine's...thanks to Pinterest.  We made super hero capes and wrote "You're a super friend."  Braden was super helpful filling them all out and both boys helped put the capes on.  Fun stuff.

Braden's progress report

We are so so proud of how well Braden is doing at school both academically and with his behavior! We got another glowing report from school! His teacher wrote, "Doing great in every way."  This momma sure is proud!!

Snow Day

Whoa am I behind on the blog? :(  My Gma reminded me of how behind I was, so Gma this is for you!   There was a snow day somewhere at the beginning of February so we spent the 20 minutes it takes to get the kids bundled up and out they went.  I love seeing kids all suited up...Ethan looks like such a rolly polly!
