Homemade icecream

Tonight we made our first batch of homemade icecream. We made vanilla bean and chocolate. It was YUMMY! As you can see, Braden enjoyed it very much. We obviously need to work on the spoon skills a little more. We invited Chris' parents over to eat some too and Papa Craig read Braden a book. :)

Swim lessons

Today was our second session of swim lessons. Chris came to take pictures today which was nice. Braden enjoys the 2nd half of the session when he gets to play with the water toys (big surprise). He now can blow bubbles in the water instead of just drinking it-yeah!

First baseball game

Last night we took Braden to his first baseball game, The Louisville Bats. Luckily they have a playground and a carousel to take up some of the time. Braden ate some of Chris' hot dog and during the crisis period (Braden squirming out of our laps) we made a desperate attempt to feed him cotton candy, which he actually didn't like. He took about 2 bites and decided the texture was too weird for him. He also enjoyed the "freedom" of wandering down the aisle and flirting with some high school girls in front of us. Of course they were eating him up so we went with it (a few minutes of non whining works for us!)

Swim lessons

We started swim lessons yesterday at the Jeffersonville Y. Braden is taking them with his friend Jackson (Janelle's cutie). We haven't got any pictures actually in the pool yet, but here are two in the changing room. Jackson was giving Braden a sweet hug. We have lessons Tuesdays and Thursdays for 6 weeks. :)

New toy at our house!

Last night we bought a new bike trailer to put on the back of my bike. We had talked about getting a bike seat for a long time, but it didn't really work out. The bike seat we bought wouldn't fit Chris' bike and I don't think I trust myself enough to have one on mine! So instead we bought this one where even if I did tip the bike, Braden would still be upright...shoo, makes me feel better! We have been on two pretty big rides so far and Braden loves it! He can hold his ball, drink a sippy cup, and look for all of the dogs and airplanes his heart desires. I'm loving it too-what a workout! I may not be able to walk tomorrow, but I am enjoying it. :)

Last days in Florida

Ahhhh....kisses for the dino.

Hello!

Chris was pretty much stuck in this train.

More playgrounds. The boys had a blast at every playground we went to. What is it with little boys being so brave? Braden will just walk right off a ledge if Super Mommy isn't there to save him.

I'm not sure this is a good concept to teach Braden (jump into any pool) but he enjoyed it!

Just crusing along with my balloon. I have no clue where my parents are.

"I must hurry...I think someone has a cookie!"

The cutest boys ever!

Our last night on the beach. I was trying to get some sunset pictures. I'm not sure you can see the sunset, but the beach sure was pretty! Even though we had a great time, we were ready to come home. I don't think there is anything like your own bed!

Aquarium and Playground (and kisses)

The top 2 pictures are of Braden's sweet kisses (open mouthed of course). :) He has been wanting to give lots of kisses this week and he kisses Chris, then me, then Chris, then me back and forth where he is almost head butting us! He dives in with his mouth wide open and you aren't quite sure if he's going to kiss you or bite you. We are taking full advantage of the sweetness since it probably won't last long. Today we went to the "Gulfarium" and saw the dolphin and sea lion shows. It was pretty good but the boys were more interested in running around and drinking our Slushies. Can you see how big the cup is? Braden would not let me have any. I should have known! After dinner tonight we stopped at a little playground so the boys could run free a bit. Tomorrow, back to the beach.

Yesterday's Adventures

Yesterday we spent some more time at the beach and pool. Braden really enjoyed the baby pool. He had all of his beach toys in the baby pool and that made him happy. Chris was so hot he was just stretched out in the baby pool soaking up the pee and all!!! Ha! After we napped, we went down to this little activity center that had a train ride and carousal for kids. Braden enjoyed all of the rides but kept wanting to go on the go-karts....not yet Buddy. After that, we went out to dinner at the "Crab Trap" for Carrie's 30th bday. We always have the loudest and messiest table at every restaurant. Imagine that!

Greetings from Florida!

We are having a great time in Destin. It's day 2 and I've already taken 90 pictures!! Here are a few from the beach. The first time Braden hit the beach he was a little scared, but after a few minutes he got used to it and loved it. He sat in one spot in the sand and played with his shovels and buckets forever! Chris and I were worried he would want to run off the entire time, but I guess he thinks the sand is rough terrain and he doesn't go too far. :) Today we went to the water park, "The Big Kahuna." Braden loved running through the sprinklers and playing in this boat with water dripping down everywhere. He lets the water just squirt him right in the face, runs away from it, and then runs back into it....over and over again. Chris and I tried to feel young and hit all of the big slides. We both feel a little sore and beat up tonight! You hit 30 and it's all over! Stay tuned....more pictures to come. :)
