Lazy Weekend

It was so nice this weekend to just be in the house hanging out. I love when we don't have to be anywhere and we can just play, hang out (nap :), and organize the house.
I got out some puzzles for Braden to try that have been in his closet. I didn't know if he'd have the patience to do them independently but he loves them! This one is pretty easy for him so I got out some harder ones and he loves those too! Chris and I thought for sure he'd get frustrated and probably chuck a piece across the room but he surprised us and loves them! We also got out some new "toys" for Ethan to try like his bouncer car and the high chair. He is just growing too fast for me. :( Tear!

Sledding

Well Braden finally had his first ever adventure sledding. During the last snowfall we couldn't find a sled in any store to buy so we just played outside. This time we made sure we found one. He absolutely loved it! He giggled all the way down the hill and wanted to run back up and do it again each time. We had a blast. I didn't get to do a whole lot of sledding because we had Ethan so I sat in the car (in the heat :) with him and let the boys go down the hill a few times. Chris made me get out and try it before we left even though I did not have snow clothes on! Brrrrrrrrrrrr. :) I'm glad he made me though...I forgot how much fun sledding is!

Getting ready

Off they go!

Still going

Braden couldn't wait to get back up the hill and go again

Trying it by himself

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

The sled kept taking off before he was ready-hee hee!

My turn

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for me!!

Playdate at Preschool

On Friday I had a playdate for friends at our preschool. It was so much fun seeing all of the kids playing together. They are all getting too big too fast!! :) Thanks to everyone that could make it. Braden was excited his friends came "to his school."

More boys and their cuteness

Just a little picture session with Mommy :) Love this boy and all of his faces!

Just discovered his feet! "What are these things and can I eat them?"
Love it! I just want to kiss those cheeks!

Although he is still a little wobbly, Ethan is loving the saucer now and this new view.

My wonderful teaching assistant gave Braden her son's old leapster and he LOVES it! He plays it off and on all day. :)

The boys

I haven't had much to blog lately...I guess the winter doesn't provide quite as many picture opportunities, or maybe I'm just busier with two kids now and don't have as much time to take pictures all day. :) But anywhoo here are a few pictures of my cutie pies.

We have the saucer out for Ethan now and Braden thinks it's pretty funny stuff if he gets in it too.

The boys before church tonight

Braden as a baby wearing the same bear sweater. There is definitely a resemblance. :)

The many talents of Braden

Building snowmen...(with a little help from Dad)

Playing a little song for my peeps...

Rice cereal

Ethan is now 4 months old so we tried rice cereal this week. It was just like when we fed Braden for the first time...95% of it came right back out. :) It's hard to tell right now if he likes it or not. He's not crying but he's not really opening his mouth either so we'll see. I'm hoping that it gives his belly just a little extra to fill him up. :)

At his 4 month check up this week he weighed 13 lbs. 11 ounces (25th percentile again) and he was 25 1/2 inches long (75th percentile). He is EXACTLY to the ounce, the same size Braden was at his 2 month checkup. The Dr. said he is doing great and a healthy guy though so I'm happy!

Hibachi Grill

Last weekend we went to Kansai for dinner to celebrate Mimi's 60th bday. Braden loves hibachi grils and his parents love eating at them!

Ethan enjoyed the show too :)

I love Braden's faces when the they light the fire

Chris catching the rice! He got it!

Snow day!

Today was a snow day for all of us teachers. :) Days like this are always fun since Chris and I both get to be home with the kiddos. Our tradition has always been to go out to breakfast on school cancellation days but since Chris perfected this yummy french toast recipe, we decided to stay in and eat at home. It was yummy!!!

Ethan is becoming pretty big stuff in his bumbo seat.

"Yah, it's a snow day!"

"This is my little old man face with no toofers"

First time in the snow this winter-Braden actually liked it this year

Tackling Daddy

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Braden was loving throwing snowballs at us

The slide was super fast today and the spill at the bottom was too much fun!

Warming up with some hot cocoa

All tuckered out
