Big boy bath

Since Ethan is sitting up really well now, we decided to try him in the bathtub last night. It sure beats the baby tub where most of his body wasn't in the water anymore and he was freezing. Braden didn't act like he wanted Ethan to come in with him at first but once I put him in he was fine with it. Ethan LOVED it! He was splashing up a storm...so much that Braden was whining because Ethan was splashing him. Oh Braden....you crack me up!

Hibachi grill

Last night Chris' dad and step-mom took us out to dinner at Kansai for Chris' bday. His bday is Tuesday. We always LOVE this food and stuff ourselves sick. Braden & Ethan are always entertained by the chefs. If only I could cook with this much pizazz at home. :)

I love Braden's face when the fire goes up.

Trying out the chopsticks. This is the first time I've ever seen Braden eat salad. I guess we will be using chopsticks for dinner every night if it helps him eat something other than chicken nuggets!! :)

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday we went to Silver Creek Park for their Easter egg hunt. MY OH MY I think every resident of Sellersburg was there! The baseball field for ages 0-3 had at least 1,000 eggs and they were literally scooped up in less than a minute. Braden had a decent bucket full but then dropped them bending over to get one and they were scooped up by some toddler vultures (& their competitive parents- Ha!) He ended up with 4 eggs with candy he couldn't eat-gum and jolly ranchers. :) It was still fun to watch and he got to see the Easter bunny and some good buddies.

Braden & Ethan with Tyler-Tyler found a big egg which won him a basket surprise and he was sweet enough to share his fruit snacks with Braden-such a sweet boy!

Ethan's 6 month checkup

There will be no more posts about my scrawny baby! This child has taken off!! He gained over 4 pounds since the last appointment! He now weighs 17 lbs. and 15 ounces! He is in the 50th percentile for weight and 90th for height. He actually just passed Braden up in height and weight at the same 6 month checkup. These boys are going to be huuuuuugggggeeee!!! How will I ever keep the refrigerator stocked when they are teenagers. Ha!

Perrin Park

Last Wednesday we met Janelle and her kiddos at Perrin Park for some bike riding and a picnic lunch. The big boys had fun riding their bikes, switching bikes often, and making their moms carry their bikes so they could run. Our one lap took forever but it was fun! Ethan & Darbi just enjoyed watching Braden & Jackson being silly.

Thumbs up for a good lunch-Braden just figured out how to get his thumb up and not his finger when giving a thumbs up. :)

Sweet boy just grinning and hanging out-Ethan is such an easy baby! I think God knew that Chris and I needed a laid back baby. Ha! Braden, we love you buddy but boy you sure keep mommy busy!!

Indianapolis Children's Museum

Today we went to the Children's Museum in Indy. We had a blast! Chris and I haven't been since elementary so it was a treat for us too! There was SOOOO much to do (hence the picture overload below)! If I lived in Indy I'd definitely be buying a membership-this place is a blast for kids!

Roooarrr...look out for the T-Rex

Junior paleontologist digging for some bones

Ethan checking out the T-Rex too

They had a whole section devoted to Bob the Builder. Braden was in heaven. He had to get on every vehicle 100 times each!

I kept trying to include Ethan in what we were doing. Ha! Here he is playing w/a "Bob" vehicle. :)

The boys checking out a race car

They had a huge water table-always a treat

"Playscape" had an area devoted to babies...I was being careful not to let Ethan put anything in his mouth because of icky germs and then all of a sudden he spit up everywhere-oops, I guess the other babies have to worry about our germs. Ha!

This was hilarious! Braden was driving this little train car with Ethan in it. It was really cute!

Giant sand table

They had a spinning thingy you laid on and looked up at the pretty blown glass

Chris & Braden on a train

Braden is our entertainment for Ethan when he gets fussy. He can sing, talk, or just look at Ethan and he's magically happy again.

The famous carousel-lovely face, me

In the science area they had a ladder that went up into this cave looking thing and then you could come down one of three slides. Braden could have done this all day.

And....he's out! Ethan was such a good baby all day even though he was SO tired. He finally passed out.

The big slide-this completely reminded me of the slide in The Christmas Story movie. Ho, ho, ho!

We finished off with a snack in the cafeteria before we headed home. I think Chris might have been the most tired...Braden was still asking to go back to Bob the Builder. :)

Spring is here!

Yesterday was beeeeuuuutiful!!! I love it, I love it! Of course when it starts to get super hot, I'll complain but for now I am loving these warmer spring days! :) Yesterday we got down the bikes and bike trailer and we gave Ethan a little spin. I didn't go too far because I was a little nervous about how he would take the bumps and I wasn't sure if Braden would be elbowing him or smothering him the whole time! They actually did really well together! After a bit, Braden and I dropped Ethan off with Daddy and then we went on a longer ride and hit some hills . Sheesh is that a workout! Braden weighs just a tad more than the last time I did this, but I was loving the workout.

What a cheese-I'm sorry if you are blinded by my tan legs-hee hee!!

Fun day at the park

Last Thursday my dad came down for a visit. The weather was perfect so we packed lunches and headed to community park for some fun. We played a little tennis (I let Dad win-ha!), Braden rode his bike all over, and of course we got in a little playground time. It was a great day! Thanks for the visit Papa Scott.

Dad kept standing in front of Braden and pretending to "take a nap" and Braden would run into him with his feet and laugh the biggest belly laugh ever! He could have played this game all day. Oh, the comedy of a 3 year old. :)

Ethan was enjoying the beautiful day too!

St. Patty's Day

These are a little late but I forgot we took a few pictures on St. Patty's Day morning in our green. Braden always wants to hold Ethan now and then says "take a picture mommy," (he gets it honest) so we took a few with our big cheeses. :)

Boys....

Just pics from hanging around the house tonight after dinner.

Braden is still really into puzzles. He loves this new 48 piece one that I got at a consignment sale. I am still amazed that he has the patience for puzzles.

Ethan is now sitting up completely on his own. He can sit for 10 minutes or more and not topple over-big stuff.

Just cute :)

Big boy standing up on his own

I love when I can get a picture of them both looking and smiling...rare moment

Sweet kisses
