Our first snow of the season

As my parents get plummeted up north with a full blown blizzard, we stepped outside today to enjoy our half inch of snow. ha! The boys were ready to get out there. I love how the whole process of getting ready with layers, coats, hats and gloves takes 20 minutes and you're outside for 5! ha!  Our faces were soooo cold with the wind. The boys got out the sled and had Chris pull them around the yard....a little redneck sledding. :)
snow angel time!

Pure sexy!

Last but not least...:)

This morning after Christmas at home, we packed up for our last Christmas celebration at Gma Cindy and Pop's.  My children made out like bandits this year I tell ya!  Chris and I were saying as kids, you got a few presents from your parents and maybe 1 from a grandparent. Wow how times have changed.  My kids are soooooo spoiled blessed!  We are so thankful to all of the grandparents that spoil us rotten. Our kids are in toy heaven and hopefully will play and not kill each other for at least a week. ha!
Ethan got some new underoos!
Ninjago pajamas!
Love his face here! He had underwear in the box he could see and apparently that's embarrassing this year. ha!!  On a side note, if anything was in a box like this Braden said, "it's clothes." :)  He didn't complain but he definitely had figured out the clothes from the toys. :)
Baby Stella was soooo stinkin' cute in her Santa outfit and we all passed her around all day.
Another big lego set :)
A truck, trailer and boat just like he wanted!
Stella enjoying the ribbon
Go IU!
Chris got a cooler that fits perfectly under our boat seat
What a hoot! Cindy found this at a yard sale this summer! Most of you know she finds anything and everything at her yard sales. Well she found this over the summer and thought she had to get it. It's cute! Might hang it in our downstairs kitchen.  :)  I guess it was a kind of beer-who knew
Getting my baby girl fix in. :)
Chris was like one of the kids, excited! He got the wakeboard he'd been wanting! This is the brand/size he had used in California over the summer and so asked his mom for it for Christmas. He was pumped!
Thank you thank you thank you to all of our grandparents and family on such a wonderful Christmas! We love you!!

Santa came!!!!!

I vote that Christmas morning is my favorite day as a parent!  I love seeing the excitement on my kids' faces in the morning running down and seeing the tree. I love all the anticipation and excitement leading up to it! And I love the whole Christmas season and doing my best to teach the concept of giving, blessing others and of course the real reason we celebrate Christmas.  It is SO fun and this year was no exception. Chris said this was his favorite Christmas yet-the kids were just at really good ages and made it so fun. We are sure blessed with our little family. :)
running down the stairs to see if Santa came

They're excited! Ethan...still walking up
More legos gets the approval!

When Ethan got stuck on unwrapping something, he said, "help me bubby."  sweet :)

Lots of fun presents and then the one that Braden was waiting for apparently...he really wanted the Wii Lego Star Wars 3 game.  He yelled out on this one!! ha

Then it was right to the wii to check out his new game
We stopped and sang Happy birthday to Jesus since we forgot before we opened presents.  Ethan said,"hold on" and ran upstairs to get Baby Jesus from their kids' nativity scene and we sang it again. Love his little heart!
Ethan checking out his new Leappad
while wearing his new police man costume. My kids dig all costumes! :)
After wii time, Braden ran upstairs to start another big lego project. Guess I'll need to find a new kitchen table. :)

Christmas Eve in Spencer

On Christmas Eve morning we loaded up and headed to Spencer for the day.  The kids always have fun with so many cousins around to play with and I love getting to see my family all under one roof. :)
Passing out presents. Braden was a good little Santa helper
Presents, presents everywhere!

Braden in disguise
Chris got a whole collection of IU shirts. :)
all dressed up!

Back at home late last night, the boys got to open their Christmas Eve present. They got new pjs and a new Christmas movie
We then put out cookies for Santa...they insisted on chocolate milk this year because Max and Ruby said it was Santa's favorite!
I forgot the Night Before Christmas story at school so we watched it on the Ipad.  ha! Christmas books in 2012 I guess!
And finally sprinkled the reindeer food in the yard so Santa could find our house. :)
The kids passed out and Santa went to work
All ready for the morning!
