Playground Time

Today felt like my first day of summer break with the boys. Yesterday we went to Spencer and before that we were on the lake for 5 days, so today was our first time to do a picnic lunch and playground. :) We headed up to Grant Line so Braden could check out his new school. :)  Two thumbs up on this playground! The boys loved it-and so close to home.  I'm feeling really good about my kindergarten decision for him (woohoo! and it's not just based on the playground. ha!!).

My Dad's 60th bday

Yesterday the boys and I headed up to Spencer to celebrate my Dad's 60th bday (chris had to catch up on mowing). We had a cookout at my brother's and the family came...family including my mom and step-dad. I have been SO blessed to have divorced parents that are the best of friends! So grateful for that in my life. :)  Happy birthday Daddio!! Luv ya!

Norris Lake Trip

This Memorial Weekend we rented a lake house on Norris Lake.  We left super early Thursday morning and just got home late last night.  We had an absolute blast!  There were 4 families that stayed the whole trip and two other families that came part of the time so needless to say there were a lot of kiddos everywhere! :)  The kids were sooooo good though I must say. We ran them hard from morning until they dropped at night.  Between boating, swimming, and running around playing with friends, they were busy busy the whole trip. The house was awesome!!! Plenty of room for all and so much fun.  Jenn has a lot of fun pics on her camera but here are some that I have. Thanks to everyone that came and made it such a blast! Let's go again...soon! :)

This is standing on one of the decks looking out at our dock. We had a double decker dock to tie up the boats with a huge laying out deck and slide-SO fun!!

The kids LOVED the hottub! They were always in it...especially Ethan. He kept saying, "I go swim in the big tub." ha!
A big hit with all the kids was this trainer ski. It was perfect for them! They all could do it and felt like they were big stuff out there skiing like mom and dad. :) Here's Alivia :)
Here's Jackson...no hands too!
 Go Lydia!
Ethan wasn't into trying the ski, but loved hanging out with his "sriends"(friends) all week and driving the boat.
It was hot, hot, hot all weekend-lots of cooling off was needed.
 More hot tub action
These kids were not afraid of anything!!! Here's Braden going off the slide off our dock. It was pretty high off the water.  They also jumped off the top deck a hundred times. That jump took me a few days to even do. ha! Gotta love when the 5 year olds are braver than the mommies. :)

Here's our top deck where we could lay out, eat, play music etc...it was so fun!
Picture of the back of the house from our deck-so nice! By the way, those stairs did a number on my calves...and hopefully booty! ha!  It was a workout. :)
 CHEESE!
Here goes Braden! He was showing us how he could ski with one hand. :)
Chris holding the rope for the kids skiing
 Oh yay! Work it buddy!
 Just cute!
 There goes Addi!
A couple of cute fellas :)
 Go Carson!
 Boaters just hangin'
And finally...Go Judd!
Of course the adults got in on a lot of watersport action but I don't have any of those pics. There was skiing, tubing, wake boarding and of course some of the guys had to hurt themselves at barefoot skiing. :)  Such an awesome trip!!!!

I'm baaaaack!

I have fallen off the blogging wagon but I'm back...and with a vengence. ha! I have blogged my heart out (and fingers off) tonight and I'm finally caught up! Woohoo!  So since I've been gone for so long, blogger has changed their whole layout and I can't quite find anything yet...so please ignore all of the spelling and grammar mistakes that you're sure to see because I couldn't find the spell check yet. :)  Happy reading

Muddy Fanatic 5K Race

Saturday was the Muddy Fanatic 5K race right here in Sellersburg. It's a "race" (uh...well a survival course) full of mud and obstacles.  5 of my girlfriends and I signed up together and then wondered what we got ourselves into. ha! I have to admit, even though I have a few boo boos and I'm more sore than I've ever been in my life, it was a blast! I think I burned just as many calories laughing as the actual cardio part of it.  So fun!!!
Before the race...see how clean and sparkly we are! :)
Going down one of the mud hills.  Notice the white shirts are clearly not white anymore. :)
Trying to get up some of the mud hills...it was soooo slippery
After....we are trying to look tough here (or at least that was the memo I got). Instead I look like a super dork. :)  Thanks girls for a day we are sure to remember (and possibly feel for awhile)!

LAP Staff Dinner

Last Friday night our entire preschool staff and our hubbies went to Comeback Inn for dinner and fun. Jennifer spoils us for sure!  Chris and I love to eat here...in fact it was where our first dinner date was. We pigged out! Thanks Jennifer and gang for such a fun night.  I truly have the best (and for sure most fun) staff ever! :)

Hubers

For the very last day of school, the whole preschool had a field trip at Hubers.  Chris took off and we just made it a family trip too. Ethan hadn't been since he was a baby in a stroller so he had a blast!  It was a beautiful day and the kids just ran around between feeding the animals, doing the slide over and over and riding the trikes. Fun stuff!

Preschool graduation

Last Thursday night was Braden's preschool graduation. I had my class graduating too so even though I was on the floor right next to him, I didn't get to see all the "action moves" until I got home and we watched the video. Chris and his mom did a great job being the photographer and videographer for me though..way to make me proud guys. ha! You never know how 5 year olds will do up in front of a crowd but he did so well-sang all of his songs and did the motions too.  Good job Braden! Mommy is so proud of you (and still in shock that this means your're leaving me for kindergarten very soon! ahhhhh!). :)
 Looking good buddy!

Teacher me leading my class. ha!
Whoooo...not sure what this move was :)
After the program, the kids share their portfolio with their family. It's a big collection of special work from the entire year.
Some of Braden's buddies-Evan, Carter and Jacob :)

 Gma Cindy & Pop
 Granny
 Papa T & Mimi
Braden's teachers, Mrs. Crystal and Mrs. Jennifer
Getting his graduation cookie cake afterwards (that mom and Dad ate most of!).
So big!
