Ethan's last teeball game

Saturday was Ethan's last baseball game.  The coach couldn't be there so he asked Chris to fill in which made it an extra special last game for Ethan.  Papa T and Braden helped dish out the advice and cheering and Ethan played his heart out.  He even got his medal which he definitely earned! ha!  Good job Ethan!! Mommy and Daddy are SO proud of how hard you played and how well you listened.  You definitely are a little athlete and I can't wait to watch you play sports over the years. :)

Catching up on summer fun!

I cannot seem to keep up with blogging these days so this will be a catch all post!  We have been beyond super busy this summer!  All fun stuff but crazy busy. Sadly, it all ends tonight as Braden and Chris start school tomorrow.  Ethan and I have until the 12th so a little more run around and play time!
I finally got to make my trip to Charlotte to stay with Cassidy, my long lost friend since kindergarten. :)  We have literally been friends for 30 years and know more about each other than any two people I'm sure. ha!  I got to fly down by myself and just relax for the weekend!  We shopped, layed by the pool, went on some jogs/walks, ate a lot and watched some chick flicks!  Such a good little getaway!

Last week Chris and I took the boys to Cumberland Lake and Dale Hollow for a few days.  The weather was perfecto and it was so nice just having our little family together on these beautiful lakes.

The day we got home from the lake, we headed over for Brandi's surprise birthday party. I took a ton of pictures but those are all on my camera and this is on my phone, so here ya go!  ha!  The boys enjoyed the birthday treats of course!
Chris and the boys hit a Lowe's clinic on Sunday. Braden built a Madagascar van and Ethan built a Toy Story speedy racer.  Good boy time for sure....hammers and nails and all that good stuff!

Just playing outside....silliness

The boys and I went to Indy this week to see Michelle's new baby.  He was SO cute and snuggly....I sure love getting in some sweet baby snuggles here and there!

Braden had a birthday party for a little school friend that night at Sellersburg pool....lots of school buddies :)

Last night we went to open house at Grant Line so Braden could meet his teacher and drop off his supplies.  How in the world do I have a first grader?!!?!?  This is the grade I used to teach!!  Crazy!

Today Braden and I had a little date to celebrate the last day of summer. :(  We shopped a little and picked out a few new cool shirts for school, grabbed some Arby's (Braden's favorite) and then met friends at the movies to see Smurfs II.  Tomorrow is the day....back to school!  I'm a little sad...although getting back into a routine is nice, I sure enjoyed (most of the time-ha!) having my boys home with me this summer!

Camping

Papa T and Mimi took the boys and Izzie camping with them Saturday at Hardy Lake.  Of course we said SURE and enjoyed our kidless day and evening. :)  I knew the kids would have a ball and they did.  Lots of bike riding, playground, swimming and eating of course.  I'm so glad they get to spend this time together and make fun camping memories.

Catching up

Some odds and ends from lately....
We took the boys to see Monsters University. Everyone loved it!

We babysat Stella and I got in some girl time!

We're enjoying summer favorites like watermelon

Braden completed safety town last week and had a little show with his graduation. Notice how gigantic he is by all his peers. Oh my!! They even gave him a new helmet because they said his was too small....he looks like he has a watermelon on his head!! :)
We hit the zoo Friday with Christy and her kids.  It was so pretty out, not too hot and the kids had a blast.
So big!

Saturday the kids went camping with Papa T and Mimi so we met my friend Melissa, her husband and my dad at Lake Monroe for the day.  SO relaxing....it must have been no kids the weather!

Today while the kids were still gone camping, Chris and I got up and went to church and then did something we used to do a lot before kids....we went biking.  We biked all over downtown Louisville and grabbed lunch.  Fun times :)
