Where'd my babies go?

I was looking at old pictures on the computer tonight and came across this one. Sniff, sniff. :( Braden's little face! He was just a baby himself and Ethan, well how can that even be him? Where did my babies go? Tear :(

The "beach"

Today we headed to the river for a little boating fun. The river is occasionaly nice to go to because it's so close and you definitely save money on gas!! The river also has this "beach" area we've been going to that the kids absolutely love! I always have to laugh at the fact that we call it a beach because we're on the stinky river and I think of Florida when I think of the beach, but anywhoo the kids love it and have a blast! The Rousters came with us and were quite the beach lovin' kids. :)

Braden and Sohpie enjoying their snacks

Most of the gang...we had 9 kids today! My two, Jenn's two and Deanna's 5. It was quite the crew!

Last Tee ball game

After a crazy week of rained out games and make ups, Braden had his last tee ball game on Saturday. It was a fun little season hanging out with good friends and watching Braden run for the ball and hit. I'm still not sure that he loves baseball a whole lot, but he enjoyed going to the games, seeing his friends and family and of course eating snacks. :) Thanks to coach Damon and "Coach Daddy" for teaching our kiddos how to be a team and have fun learning baseball. :)

Ethan is always dying to get on the field. After the game he was off running the bases like a big boy!

Marci made these yummy baseball cookies for the last game! :)

Camp Discover

Our fun family day continued with the most anticipated event of the week...Camp Discover. This was an event put on by our church for 4-5 year olds. We got to pitch a tent in church and spend the night! It was SO much fun!! Jenn and I were camp counselors of our group and our group was mostly all of our girlfriends with a couple of new little friends. The kids got to rotate around to 7 stations. A few of the stations were taking a hike, singing kid worship songs, a room full of bouncers, and making s'mores. Each kid got a backpack with binoculars and a little flashlight. It was super cute! Of course the highlight of the night was getting back to the Centrum and getting in the tents. I don't think anyone got much sleep but it was so fun and definitely memorable for the kids. :)

Chris came in to help us girls set up our tents. :)

Braden, Carson & Addi getting in line for the caterpillar slide which was the favorite!

Night night! :)

Fun family day!

On Friday we had one of those perfect family days. Chris has had to mow quite a bit lately and just get caught up on projects so it was a day when we could do anything all day together. We started off at "A Nice Restaurant" where we used to LOVE to go anytime school got cancelled or delayed for snow. :) They have the best french toast. Yummo! After breakfast we went home and grabbed some snacks (really? after all of that food) and headed to the movies to see Cars 2. We have been talking about Cars 2 for a year now so we were ready. Braden already knew some of the new characters because he plays it a Cars 2 game on the computer. ha! I knew we were crazy for taking Ethan to a movie but I just wanted all of us to be able to go together...and guess what? We actually made it. It was a miracle but he fell asleep during the movie and we all enjoyed it! :)

Braden and Ethan shared pancakes...how cute are these?

This is hilarious....Santa was at the restaurant??? Yes, it's June and yes this guy really wears this out and acts like Santa year round. Just a little fyi, he is the only paid Santa by Coke and has commercials we learned (youtube- forgotten Santa letters). Anywhoo, he ran to his car (that says Santa) and got the boys some toys. It was pretty neat. Braden said all day, "I can't believe Santa was at breakfast. " Me neither!?!?

Then off to Cars....Ethan sat like this through all the previews...then he got a little squirrely

So we got out the snacks...that lasted for a few minutes

Then about midway through he actually zonked out on Chris' chest. Wowie wow that never happens but boy was I glad. He was pooped and I thought one of us would have to leave with him but he just snoozed on through that action packed movie. :)

Louisville Bats game

Last week the YMCA was giving away free Bats tickets so my girlies that go there got Braden and I free tickets. :) Chris and Ethan had a day together and Braden and I had a day. It's always nice once in awhile to have just one kid so you can give them all your attention. We had a great time hanging out with our friends. I was thinking Braden might get into the game a bit more this year since he's playing tee ball but the Bats games are still snacks, playground and the carousel in his book! ha!

Posing on the baseball glove chair waiting on our friends

Judd and Braden doing one of the crowd cheers

He had to have the blue cotton candy and loved it!

Lydia, Braden and Judd stop for a funny picture

New fun park

With Chris and I both being off in the summer, it can get pretty expensive with wanting to do things everyday so a lot of times we just head to different parks. Chris passed this little park in Corydon a few times on the way to rough river and thought it looked fun. It was such a pretty park with all of the surrounding trees and green I just had to get a few pictures of course! :)

Silly boys

A little more serious...

and then Braden falls backwards. ha! It's always something trying to get two kids to look at the camera and smile. :)

This was an interesting swing

A cool teeter totter

And we had to do a few underdogs which Braden absolutely loves

And a little climbing

* The park also had a little duck pond-a very cute park that we'll have to visit again. :)

Needle in a haystack

So tonight I got the bright idea that I would go bathing suit shopping...always a fun time right?!?! Braden was at Granny's and it was just Ethan and me so I thought it was the perfect time to go find that perfect suit...and hey they're probably going on sale now right? I seriously walked ALL over St. Matthew's Mall and Oxmoor and came home with nothing! :( The problem is, I just need to create my own swimwear line because the suit I want doesn't really exist. ha! I want a skirted bottom, but not granny skirt, and not the skirts that don't serve a purpose but look cute. I want a little skirt to cover some booty! So if I do find a suit with a skirt it has a tankini. Well I've finally moved on from the tankini and want a bikini top. This combination does not exist very often and when it does it usually isn't in my size or it's $150. So....Ethan and I walked 10 miles and found nothing! Moral to the story, work out more Tracy so you can just walk in and pick out a bikini and you don't have to hunt for a needle in a haystack. :( Maybe next year!

Father's Day

Today was a perfect lazy father's day. :) We slept in a bit, got up and lounged around. The boys made Chris a recordable book where Braden answers questions like, "If you and Daddy were superheros, what powers would you have?" etc....it was pretty cute and Braden loved reading it with him (I took pictures but Chris had just woke up and I got a little too much boxer crotch shots and thought maybe the blogger world would like to pass on those :). Then we took an am nap (um...yes there were two!!!) and got up and headed to lunch. We met up with Chris' dad and step-dad so the boys could give them their gpa cards, ate like pigs and headed back home for more laziness. I'm not sure if we are really getting old (yes) or just run ourselves to death with going here and there (yes) and just needed to catch up on sleep today. After our 2nd nap of the day (ha!) we headed out to do a little family fishing. Unfortunately, the fish were not as hungry as we always are so we didn't catch any...better luck next time. We ended the night with a trip to Chillers. It was a perfect Sunday with the best daddy and munchkins I know! :)

My loves!

Loving our superman ice cream and Reese Cup cyclone...pretty standard orders for these boys

A little baby twist and cake batter ice cream on this side. :) Happy Father's Day to all you daddies out there! I hope your day was as relaxing and fun as ours. :)
