Playdate

Today Chris and I went to Indy and I got to see my friends Michelle and Anne from college. The 3 of us all have kiddos now so we try to get together once in awhile for a playdate. Braden had fun exploring this new place and playing with all of Jackson's toys. He definitely had a little crush on Ella and showed his love by shutting the toy chest lid on her head 3 times! I guess Braden has moves just like his Daddy!!

Baby Aleah is here!

My brother and his wife FINALLY had their baby girl, Aleah. She was born on Jan. 12th and weighed 7 lbs. and 13 ounces and was 20 inches long. She is a doll! She has a lot of dark hair and looks a lot like her mommy! Congratulations John and Heidi!

Wagon Walks

Braden loves his new wagon. We got to go for 2 walks last week when it didn't feel so much like winter. :)

First Birthday Party

Yesterday was Braden's birthday party. He had a great time! He dug into his cake, but pretty much just ate the icing off of the top. I'm not sure he ever actually ate any of the cake. He got tons of new fun toys and we've had a ball today putting everything together and playing. A big thank you to everyone that came and helped to make Braden's first birthday so special!!

First Birthday!!

Today is Braden's 1st birthday! I can't believe it! TEAR! I always thought people were goofy when they said "they grow up so fast," but they were right! Tomorrow is his birthday party, but we decided we had to do something today as well since this is his birthday (and of course he would know right?) This morning his daddy made him blueberry pancakes which he thoroughly enjoyed!! We also went to Chuckie Cheese so we could pretend that he was 5 years old and enjoy the place. :) The crazy thing was, since he is the size of a 5 year old, he was able to enjoy several little rides. I even let him eat some pizza (I decided to ease up since it was his bday) Ha! I'll post party pictures after tomorrow.

Sippy Cup Challenges!

We've been trying really hard over break to get Braden to drink his milk out of the sippy cup. He will do ok for a few ounces and then throws a fit wanting the bottle. This happened to be a time when I accidently forgot to put the valve on under the lid-Ha!! He didn't even notice and kept on drinking! Poor baby!
