More S'mores Please

Chris' family was camping this weekend so we went and visited and hung out for the afternoon. Braden wouldn't eat any dinner but he sure LOVED his first S'more.

Abbey Road on the River

"HEY, GIVE ME THAT CORNDOG!!!!!"

Tonight we went down to the riverfront to Abbey Road on the River (lots of different bands playing Beatles music). Matt, Carrie, and Jace met us too. Although the boys weren't too interested in listening to Chris' favorite music, they did enjoy running around and eating some fattening carnival food with their parents. By the way, the ultimate nachos were out of this world! You have to love carnival food! After the festival, we went down to a park on the riverfront and let the boys go down the slides again and again and again and again. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

The scary toybox

I found this football toybox at a yard sale by my house for $5.00, so Braden and I went ahead and "splurged." I thought it would be great since it was a ball (Braden's favorite word) and to help with the problem of outgrowing our house in toys. Little did I know that Braden would be completely scared of this toybox for a week or so. We don't know if it was the bumps or the laces that looked like a scary face, but whatever it was, he did NOT like it. He would cry if we went near the toybox and would cling to my leg. Now that he has discovered that the scary toybox will not eat him up, it is a new favorite toy...and another thing to call "ball!" Look how far we've come!

Water Table

We bought Braden a water table a few weeks ago. It sat in the living room for 2 weeks waiting on a warm day. I think he had just as much fun in the house with NO water s he does outside. He kept trying to drink out of the water bucket even though there was no water. Now that it's outside, he probably drinks a gallon of dirty, grassy, hose water each time. I try not to flip out thinking about all of the deadly organisms!!! Hee hee

Big splasher

Braden LOVED the zoo's little waterpark. Right after this video, he got a little braver and was completely soaked and the water was freezing! He loved sticking his face right over the spouts and getting sprayed.

Zoo!

"Check out these huge giraffes Mom!"

"That doesn't look like a dog."

"Ahhh, it's just like me and my cousin Aleah!"

"WOOOOOOOOOWWWWIE"

"Hey Gorilla, you eat more than I do!"

"Jace, you have to lean back like this.
This is what the cool kids are doing."

"This is NOT what the cool kids are doing!"

Braden and Jace had a blast in the little waterpark.
The water was freezing, but they didn't seem to mind.

All tuckered out (and so were the mommies). Braden never falls asleep like this, but I guess after no nap, a big meal, lots of walking (oh, that was me) and the water area, they were done! We had a blast.

Weeeeeeeeeeeee!

By the way I jerk the camera, you'd think Braden is coming down a 10 foot slide!

Fun with Mommy!

Woo Wee!!! So fast!

"Hey Mom, do you think you could fix my hat where I could actually see where I was going?"

Today we didn't have a sitter so I got to stay home with Braden. We had SO much fun together. I can't wait until we can have these days everyday! Only 20 more school days to go, but who's counting?!

On another note, apparently, my child is supposed to know how to eat with a spoon soon. Don't the Dr.'s know that this learning process can be VERY messy! Well today we gave it a whirl with oatmeal. As you can see, he did hold the spoon very nicely and managed to eat all of his oatmeal....too bad it was with his hands! Good try buddy.

Fun with Dad

This is a picture of Braden with Chris after he ran the mini. Braden is wearing his medal. We went to the race to see Chris finish and actually didn't even get to see him! (long story) We were very proud of Daddy!

Getting Braden's teeth brushed at night is getting tough! He is not interested in anything being put into his mouth if it isn't food!

"How big is Braden?" SO BIG!!
