My handsome boys!

Yesterday was Chris' bday. We won't tell how OLD he is!!! I just had to get a picture of my handsome boys together, especially since they looked like they were wearing matching shirts (not planned). Aren't they cute? Chris got a bike seat for Braden to ride in for his bike. I'm already a nervous wreck for this one! I told him he's only allowed to ride on our street....and in the grass! Can't Braden just stay in the living room forever where I know he'll be safe? :) Hee hee. So anyways, since Chris was getting this bike seat from his parents, I thought I'd better get Braden the bike helmet. He actually loved wearing it around the house. I think I might just leave it on him all of the time for safety measures!

Chris' race

Since Chris claims this blog is only about Braden, I thought I'd prove him wrong. :) Today was the Papa John's 10 mile race in Louisville. This running thing is brand new for Chris and I must say, he's doing pretty darn good! He ran the 10 mile race today in the freezing cold and managed to do in 1 hr. and 45 minutes which isn't too shabby for someone who wasn't a runner 2 months ago. Next up, the mini-marathon in 4 weeks! Way to go Babe!

Waiting on Spring

We got one warm day this week while I was on spring break. Braden and I had fun playing in the yard. He was getting the yard ready by using his mower that Gma Trish got him. This time, he didn't mind the grass but had trouble walking from the grass to the driveway. It is a BIG step. :) Poor baby. The last picture is his swimsuit outfit I got him the other day. We are ready for the pool!

Get this thing off of me!

We have been trying for days to get a picture of Braden with his little cousin Aleah (John and Heidi's baby). WELL, Braden wants nothing to do with Aleah. Look at this face!!! He kept trying to scoot her away and off of him. I think he's going through the cootie stage already! Poor Aleah. She still layed there so nicely and looked pretty for the camera even though Braden was trying to throw her off of the couch! I think he's going to make a good big brother one day!

Easter basket and another hunt

The Easter bunny left Braden a few new books and a little chick that bounces around. He was pretty excited about the books. We also had another hunt at my house on Easter day. Brrrrr!!!! Braden is still wondering why we made him trot around outside, with flurries, and look for weird things on the ground!

Coloring Easter eggs

Why didn't someone remind me that Easter egg dye really is a DYE?!?!?! I guess it had been a few years since I dyed easter eggs and, due to this, Braden now has a green hand! Oh well. Braden did one egg until Daddy came to the rescue and gave "the look" that I was completely crazy and then we had to get Braden to the sink. Come on Chris!!! Get into the holidays-ha!

Easter

Braden got to visit the Easter bunny at the mall last week. I thought for sure he wouldn't like him, but he actually though he was quite funny. He giggled and made his funny faces like he does when he isn't sure about something. On Saturday, we had a little easter egg hunt at Chris' mom's subdivison. Even though it was SO cold, he did pretty good. Once he caught on to what we were trying to get him to do, he started spotting the eggs himself and would go for him.

St. Patty's Day

Here is a late picture of Braden on St. Patrick's Day. We think he's a pretty charming kid too! : )

More Snow fun

On Sunday, we went back outside for more snow fun. Braden did a little better this time. He still wasn't overly happy about the whole snow situation, but he didn't flip out and alarm the neighbors with his screaming. We actually sat him in his wagon and he watched us build our magnificent snowman, so that he didn't have to actually touch the snow. As you can see, he looked thrilled to be a part of our family day. Doesn't the snowman look professional though??? I think Chris has built a few of these in his lifetime!

Look out! It's the scary snow!

Fun (or lack of) in the snow!

Today we bundled up and headed out for the snow. We have a snowman kit and thought it would be the perfect day to finally build our snowman. Well Braden had different plans. After waving at the snow for 2 days, we thought he would like it. Evidently, the snow can be very scary! Braden did not want anything to do with the snow. When we came in, I made him some hot chocolate for a little treat and he chugged it down in no time!

I'm stuck!!

This morning Chris let me "sleep in" for a few and he and Braden played in the living room. After I heard Braden crying for mommy to rescue him, I had to get my lazy butt up and go see what was wrong. This is what I found! Chris said he got in his wagon on his own but then couldn't figure out how to get out.
