Great Wolf Lodge

Yesterday we headed over to Mason, Ohio to The Great Wolf Lodge. We had a blast! If you haven't been, I highly recommend going. It's a great family place. We had so much fun and we are exhausted!
Braden seeing the water park for the first time!

After a few times of hesitation, Braden was a pro at going down the slides by himself.

I loved watching Braden's face when he hit the water.

Very attractive face buddy! :)

This was the very first time Chris and Braden went down the tube slide together on the double tube. As you can see from the picture, they are nowhere in sight! That's because the tube flipped when they hit the water and they both went under. Being the concerned mom that I am, I went ahead and shot the picture. :)

Coming up out of the water....we're ok Mom!

The 2nd time down was much better. When they hit the water, Chris lifted him in the air to keep him up. Braden LOVED this ride. I went down with him too and he would giggle and squeal all the way down. Then as soon as you hit the water, he would say, "again!"

After drying off from our first day at the water park, we headed over to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. Braden was exhausted!! He was crashing at the table.

Back at the hotel....a little posing for mom.

At 8:15 they had story hour by the big tree. All of the kiddos were in their PJ's. It was pretty cute!

Wiley came out for the story. Braden couldn't wait to give him a hug. By the way, this is his typical hug-head into you, no arms. He's such an affectionate child!

Just chilling before bed and doing a little teeth brushing.

Day 2 (this morning) we hit the arcade to kill some time before the water park opened. The good thing with Braden is you really don't have to buy too many tokens, if any at all. He's perfectly fine running around pushing all of the buttons. I'm going to enjoy these cheap days while I can!

A little skee ball action. As you can see based on the height of that ball, most of them banged the fence covering and never got under. We couldn't quite get the "roll" down. It was more of a throw!

"Now this I am good at!"

They had the cutest little place called "Cub Club" where you could play and make crafts. Braden and Chris were seeing who could build the tallest tower.
* After Cub Club, we hit the water park again. I didn't take many pictures this time because I wanted in on the fun too! We left around 1:00 and Braden crashed the whole way home....I did a little snoozing myself. :)

Race Day

Today was Chris' 2nd leg of his 4 races. It was a 10K (6.2 miles). He did so well! He ran about 10 minutes faster than last year's race! This year he ran a 49:31 which is around a 8 minute mile pace. Braden and I braved the cold and went down to watch. We actually spotted him this time thanks to the help of the lime green shirt. The next race is 10 miles in 3 weeks. :) The other guys in the pictures are his teaching buddies that he's been training with and one of their girlfriends that is also running.

Come back spring!

We have really enjoyed the beautiful weather this week! Today was a little cooler so we didn't get out that much. Braden has really enjoyed his bubbles, golf club, baseball tee, his truck, and everything else that exists in our garage. When it's time to go outside, he thinks we have to get everything out of the garage and into the driveway. We look like we are having our own yard sale when we play! ha :)

QT?

So does this count as quality time with your child? :) I'm sure I was on facebook and Braden was looking at his blog. :)

Dance Moves

This is a video of Braden dancing at school. He clearly gets his dance moves from Chris because mine are much more elegant! :) The song tells you to dance around and then freeze when the music stops. Braden caught right on and loves to do this with the other preschoolers.

Race Day

A few days before the race-running with a little extra weight (the basketball, not Braden :)

This is actually a reenactment. :) I completely missed Chris finishing as usual, so he pretended to finish again for me-notice the smile and not the grrrrr that I'm sure he had.

Just chillin and watching my daddy

Chris ran in the 5K this past Saturday. Yes, I am just now posting. I have been busy starting a preschool blog for school so poor Braden's blog has taken the back burner for a bit. I'll get back on it. :) Anyways, Chris did so well!!! He ran a 23:30 which is much faster than last year. He'll have the 10K on the 21st, the 10 miler on April 11 and the mini-marathon on April 25. What a trooper! While he is busting butt, Braden and I will be cheering him on with a donut in hand. :)

New obsession

This weekend Chris wanted us to go to a teacher's house from his school to see her new puppies. Her dog just had the most adorable puppies ever, so we knew Braden would go nuts. What we didn't know, is that he would go more nuts for Mrs. Debbie's drums! This kid is obsessed with drums, wherever we go. Guess who wants to buy some now? NOT ME....but I think I might be outnumbered.
