Day 2-Magic Kingdom

The wait was over...the "real Disney World" as Ethan has been waiting for-the one with Cinderella's castle.  We opened and closed the park and literally did everything we possibly could have done in one day.  It was SOOOO much fun and we were pooped by the end. :)  Sounds like a good Disney day to me!

Disney day 1

We decided to fly to Disney on Allegient out of Lexington which made the flights super cheap. :)  Sunday, the 6th we headed to the airport and we had two very excited boys!

Monday morning we stayed at the pool after getting in super late.  Our pool had waterslides and a splash pad!  It was fabulous!

Oh and did I mention there was a Starbucks in our hotel....ahhhhhh!!!

Then we got a little rain...our only day with rain, so the kiddos took their one and only nap of the week and we headed to Downtown Disney to do a little sight seeing.

Dinner at the T-Rex restuarant followed by a Mickey cookie for my birthday.  Celebrating my birthday in Disney....kind of magical. ha!

Disney Bound!!!

This weekend we are headed to Disney World for fall break!  I am SOOOO excited for the kids to be there, but also for me!  I'm 35 and have never been!  Tonight was the night we surprised the kids.  We took mostly videos so I don't really have pictures.  We started out giving them one clue at a time.  They got a picture of a suitcase, an airplane, the state of Florida (which didn't really look like FL. ha!) and Mickey's face.  After getting the clues they said Disney World but still didn't really get it....we've been telling them we'd go in two years with Chris' mom so they assumed we met that.  Then they opened a present that had Mickey shirts and photo books with letters written to them from Mickey.  Still smiling, but not sure what this all meant.  Then we told them instead of two years from now, why don't we go this weekend!! It was really fun. :) They rolled on the ground, jumped up and down, wrestled of course and acted silly because they excited.  Love a good surprise! :)  Yay for fun family memories!

Braden's Literacy Night

Last night we got to go into Braden's class so they could present a reader's theatre and their writing so far this year.  They read a little Humpty Dumpty script that was really cute!  Braden's published story was about going bowling on his birthday.  I LOVE first grade writing! It was my favorite thing to teach when I taught first grade and so I love reading Braden's little stories now.

Fall party at Carma's

Last weekend Chris' aunt and uncle decided to have a little fall party for the family.  The kids got to make caramel apples, pick pumpkins, decorate pumpkins, roast hotdogs and just run around in the country.  They had a ball!!!!

I LOVE my teaching staff at Lafayette Academy!  I mean seriously...look at this group of ladies!  Is there a cuter preschool teaching staff around? :)  We really are blessed with awesome teachers that love what they do and love kids!  These girls are all my good friends and I love hanging out with them outside of school too.  We had a few professional pictures taken a couple weeks ago since we had some new faces on our staff. 

The other reason I posted this is to say my big news if you haven't heard....I will be the new director and owner of LAP right after Christmas!!!!  I am SOOOO excited and completely humbled at the opportunity. Jennifer would like to devote her time from career back to her family and I was right in limbo on going back to work full time, so this literally just fell into place.  I completely believe in God's timing and feel his hand in all of this!  This is an amazing opportunity and I am just so grateful!!  :)
