Exciting News!!

Braden wanted everyone to know that he is going to be a big brother soon!! That's right folks, Chris and I are finally pregnant. :) I wanted to wait a little longer to tell the world but we are just too excited. I have already had an ultrasound and we were able to see the little heartbeat. It was pretty amazing! I am 7 weeks and we are due Sept. 20th. Yeahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Thank you for your prayers! God is so good!

SNOW Day!

"ugh...get me out of this mom!"
"I hate snow angels!"

"yes, the wagon.,.I don't have to touch it."
Posing with the cutie neighbors that were enjoying the snow
Today was a true snow day...not like a few weeks ago where I bundled Braden up for some flurries. I was so excited to get him out in the snow since last year he hated the snow. Well guess what? Not a big fan this year either. He enjoyed being outside and in the shoveled area, but not really in the middle of the snow. No school again tomorrow so maybe we'll try it again. :)

SIGS Open Gym

Yesterday Braden and I met some friends at Open Gym. We hadn't been since this summer so it was neat to see everything Braden could do now. He loved hanging on all the bars and the rope swing. I think it's time to register for some gymnastics. :) Braden had fun playing with Tyler, Kayleigh, and anyone that would pay attention to him.

Chillin' on the pot

The only way my child will sit on his potty is if it's in front of his movie. So either we will be installing a t.v. in the bathroom or we will only be potty training in the living room. Should be interesting!

Random thoughts

Braden...hanging out with the big guys on PJ day at preschool

I haven't been much in the blogging mood lately...I guess I just haven't taken a lot of pictures lately, but we're still here! Braden is keeping me busy with his never ending energy and requests from everything to more vitamins to more movies. He is really into asking for every food he can name in the whole kitchen. "Pease mommy, more bitamin (vitamins), more cookies, more juice, more cocoa..." Pretty much anything Braden has ever eaten and enjoyed, he requests 100 times a day! He is also OBSESSED with his 2-3 favorite DVD's and would watch them all day if we let him. He is really into the Leap Frog's Letter Factory and constantly begs (ok screams) for the "wetters" movie. I know as moms we are supposed to limit this t.v. business, but you should hear the kid. He can identify almost every letter wherever he sees them and then tells you the sound. It is a hoot because he goes around saying, "A-ahhhhhh!!!" just like the movie does. It's pretty darn cute! So Braden, even though you drive me nuts sometimes with your constant begging (a.k.a screaming & crying) for your favorite snacks and movies, I still love you little buddy and I know you'll move onto some new obsessions soon so I will try to embrace these while they are here! :)

Aleah turns 1

Last night we went to Spencer for my niece, Aleah's 1st birthday party. She looked so cute in her pink polka-dots with pink everywhere. :) Happy birthday Aleah!! We love you. :)

The Developing Talents at the Noble Household

Chris has been running Santa's toyshop in the garage for a few weeks now. He is totally getting into this woodworking thing. His latest project is this step stool he made Braden. The stool was fairly easy for him, but it was the painting that almost put him over the edge. :) It turned out so great though and Braden is feeling like a pretty big boy standing up to the sink with it.

My talents do not lie in the garage, but in the kitchen-ha!!! (never thought that would come out of my mouth). Actually, I really am not a cook at all, I just enjoy making desserts. I wonder if the dessert making and the tightness of my jeans are related...hmmmmm. Anyways, I saw this yummy homemade cupcake recipe on another blog and thought I'd give it a try. It really is SO yummy and you probably have all of the ingredients for the batter and icing already in your kitchen. :) Here is the link for the recipe if your heart desires. Enjoy!

ABC's with a suprise ending

Braden can now sing his ABC's all the way through! I'm so proud of the little guy and of course the "L-M-N-O-P" is hilarious on every kid when they learn. Chris and I have been bribing him for 2 days with cookies and everything else trying to get him to sing them on tape. But of course he acts completely silly and crazy when we get the camera out (as you'll see). I had to share this one though because the ending cracked me up.

Snow!

Today we finally got a little bit of snow...well I guess we got some consistent flurries. Whatever it was, I was determined to have Braden wear his snowsuit before summer arrives. :) So we ventured out and Braden tromped around a bit and then of course we had to have some hot cocoa when we got in. Braden chugged that in about 2 seconds. Yummy!

2nd Birthday Fun

Just waking up on his birthday...with his pal Barney
Chris thought Braden needed a yummy donut to start his day :)
Braden seeing his kitchen for the first time. He LOVES this thing.

Even Elmo sang Happy birthday to him

Enjoying some healthy foods :) We had ball park food to go with the theme. We had a popcorn machine, nachos, hot dogs, hamburgers, cracker jacks, and I threw in a veggie tray to counter balance the fat. Ha!

Opening presents...Yeah! Go Hoosiers :)

"Yummy, yum, yums" to go with his kitchen

After awhile, Braden got tuckered out from all of the opening and had to take a little popcorn break and watch Daddy open his presents

And another popcorn break

This face was how Braden looked during the entire Happy birthday song. However, he was facing the paparazzi
Enjoying some cake with the neighbor kiddos

Having a little dance party with Jace and the new maracas

We seriously cannot get one family picture at these events. Braden pretty much looks like this in all of our group shots with family members. So to any of the family reading this, I'd love to include some more group shots but while you all look great in the picture, Braden is diving out of all them. What a loving child he is! Thank you SOOOOO much to all of our family and friends that came! Braden had a blast and we did too!

Betty Crocker AKA Me!

Just had to share my cake with you! Most of you know that I am NOT a cook and usually make a disaster out of any challenging meal, but I was sort of proud of this little cake. I made Braden a baseball cake to go with the one from the bakery (in case we didn't have enough). After TONS of iciing and carpal tunnel, TA DA....a baseball (with red icing falling off). Also check out the awesome cookies my mom made! Go Mom!! :)

The Big 2!

Today was my baby's 2nd birthday! I can't believe it. It really does go so fast just like everyone says. Before I know it, he'll be carrying a backpack to school and then leaving me for college-TEAR!! :( His party turned out great and he had a ball (literally) playing with everyone! Of course I took a million pictures so I'll have to upload later when I'm not exhausted and partied out. :) Thank you to everyone that came and for Braden's thoughtful presents. He is one lucky little boy to have so many people that love him and Chris and I are so blessed to have him in our lives.

Happy New Year!

Last night we went to my friend Janelle's house for a New Year's Party. As you can see from the attire, it was a PJ party which made it nice because I would have complained alll day to Chris about having nothing to wear. Ha! Braden had a good time running around with all of the toddlers and Chris and I ate our fair share of yummy food. Braden actually made it all the way until midnight! There were so many toys and boys to play with, bedtime was a distant thought. You can tell from the last picture, he was beginning to fade. Thanks Janelle for a fun night!
